I'm going to follow the advice of Rebecca Ringquist today, and focus on doing what I love:

Dropcloth sampler design by Rebecca Ringquist; stitched by Bonnie Sennott
The main thing? Finishing my Circle Game sketchbook for The Sketchbook Project 2013. The postmark deadline is Tuesday, but I'd like to have mine in the mail tomorrow. Here are a few of the pages ... I've got two more to go, plus the inside back cover.

I limited myself to black, white, and red, using only pencil, black pen, and red colored pencil—as well as a circle template.

I've enjoyed this little project a lot. It was playful and spontaneous, very freeing in that way, and it's given me ideas for future embroidery work. I liked it so much, I've bought a new sketchbook—larger and with better-quality paper—for a second Circle Game project.
Not to worry, work has been happening on the Blue Peninsula front, too. I recently mailed off two designs to a magazine—more on them months from now. And I've got a lovely scarf design in progress, knit in Brooklyn Tweed Loft. Hope to share it with you later this month!

(((hugs)))
Happy birthday half a week late! I must not be checking my blogs often enough. Hope you had a great day. And I love the circle game sketchbook. What a fun thing!
How do you like the Loft? It looks very nice in photos.
Thanks everyone, for the birthday wishes. Shelda, I like the Loft quite a lot. It has a certain amount of vegetable matter in it that you have to pick out. But I like that it feels like "real" wool, if you know what I mean--not all processed to death. It is somewhat spongey, with a very satisfying feel in the hand. Softens up and relaxes nicely after blocking. Before blocking, you might question whether you want it against your skin, but after a good soak in Eucalan it feels terrific. Nice drape, too.
Happy belated birthday! Love your sketchbook, and am fascinated by your stitching project!
Happy Belated Birthday!
I LOVE the sketchbook! So much fun.
