Day 12 of 30

It's Day 12 of my current daily embroidery piece—30 days, six different colors, seven different stitches in succession. I worked on it each day while at Squam Art Workshops, often in front of a cozy fireplace.

Day 12 of 30

Squam was terrific. I became expert at starting a crackling fire on chilly mornings, learned how to sew French seams in a Perfect Pajamas class with Cal Patch, twisted lots of stitches Bavarian-style in a class with Franklin Habit, and met Anne Hanson of Knitspot/Bare Naked Wools. More about Squam soon!

Edited later: Just realized, it's only Day 10!  Guess I'm so blissed out from the peacefulness of Squam Lake, I can no longer count.

sounds wonderful. I love fires. It's too warm down here to sit around a fire except for a month or so in winter.
