New England Reds

My socks and I have enjoyed some lovely walks recently.

As always, the fall colors here in western Massachusetts are breathtaking.

In summer, people can't wait for a heat wave to break; in winter, they ask, "Will this snow never end?" But in fall, nobody says, "Enough already, leaves! No more color, please!"

Maybe if you have to rake them all up, you get tired of autumn leaves. But I'm lucky—I live in a condo and don't have to do any yard work. (Which means more time for walking and knitting.)

Nothing beats a sock for a walk-and-knit project. And this time of year, nothing beats beautiful red leaves and yarn!
