Named after a genus of damselflies, the Ischnura Shawl is a warm and cozy crescent shawl knit in bulky weight wool. It's worked flat from the bottom up on a circular needle, beginning with the lace section. Short rows are used to shape the upper (garter stitch) section.

Gauge:
10 sts/16 rows = 4”/10 cm in lace pattern, after blocking
11 sts/18 rows = 4”/10 cm in garter stitch, after blocking

Gauge is not crucial for this design, but if your gauge differs from the pattern gauge, the dimensions of your shawl will be different as well. If you knit at a looser gauge, you may need more yarn.
