This light, airy shawl was designed as a companion piece for the About Town Mitts. The mitts and shawl may be purchased together in an ebook set.

Finished (Blocked) Measurements: 58 inches/148 cm wide across top edge and 27 inches/69 cm long from center of top edge to bottom point

For a larger shawl, try using sportweight yarns and a larger needle size.

Yarn—Three colors of fingering weight wool or a wool/alpaca blend:

Color 1: 290 yards/265 m

Color 2: 175 yards/160 m

Color 3: 135 yards/124 m

Total yardage, if you want to make a single-color shawl: 600 yards/549 m

Needles: US #4/3.5mm 24-inch or 32-inch circular needle OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Notions: Smooth scrap yarn and size G/4.00mm crochet hook for garter stitch tab cast-on, stitch markers, tapestry needle, stainless steel T-pins, blocking wires (optional)

Gauge: 17 sts/29 rows = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking
