Briscoe Cardigan

Briscoe, a swingy, open-front cardigan, pairs the simplicity of stockinette and garter stitch with a touch of graceful lace. It’s worked flat in one piece from the top and the raglan sleeves are worked top-down in the round. It can be worn open or fastened with a shawl pin or clasp. Or, sew on a few buttons and use the yarn overs as buttonholes.

Briscoe is designed to be worn with about 3 inches of positive ease, with the fronts slightly overlapped.

A light blocking will relax and open up the front band lace.

Level of difficulty: Advanced beginner/Intermediate. Experience with working lace, and working in the round on dpns (for the sleeves) is helpful.
